Terms Entered in Search Tools
A name, location, or other term entered into a search feature is transmitted to the third-party provider that operates that feature. The provider receives the query so it can return results under its own terms and privacy practices. Franklin County Released Inmates does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Emails and Submitted Messages
When a visitor sends an email or uses a contact form, the message and reply details are retained as needed to answer the request, maintain the exchange, and address misuse. Those messages are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law or a valid legal process.
Technical Details Collected Automatically
Ordinary server, analytics, and advertising systems can receive technical information when a page loads. This data helps the site function, measure use, and diagnose faults. It may include:
- The internet protocol address used for the visit
- The browser name, settings, and version
- The device category and operating system
- Pages viewed and the time spent on them
- The referring website, when one is supplied

Safeguards and Their Limits

No internet-connected service, transmission method, or storage system is fully secure. Franklin County Released Inmates cannot promise that a breach, interception, or other security event will never occur.
Visitors Younger Than Eighteen
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly seek or collect personal information from anyone under eighteen. If a parent or guardian believes a minor submitted information, a deletion request may be sent through the Get in Touch page.
Choices About Personal Data
Subject to applicable law and the ability to verify a request, a person may ask to:
- Receive a copy of personal data held by the site
- Correct information that is inaccurate
- Delete personal data when erasure is legally available
- Opt out of certain processing where that choice applies
